What to Expect From a Hot Towel Shave
A straight-razor shave at our U Street barbershop follows the classic steps: hot lather, a hot towel to soften the hair, a close straight-razor pass, and a massage to finish. Typical appointment times on our booking menu:
- Babyface Shave ($50): about 40 minutes, with hot lather, hot towel, and facial massage.
- Head Shave ($50): about 40 minutes, with hot lather, hot towel, and scalp massage.
- Beard Trim ($35): about 20 minutes of shaping and trimming with edgers.

Yes. Book a beard trim together with any men’s haircut, or ask your barber when you arrive if there is time.
I have sensitive skin. Can I still get a shave?
